If you represent a library, you can arrange a BrainHQ demo by completing this survey or emailing support@brainhq.com.
Once your library adds BrainHQ, two things happen to get you up and running.
First, your library’s website will be updated to add a page that allows patrons to log in to BrainHQ. For patrons, logging in will be similar to checking out an e-book. At log in, they will need their library card or username to gain access to the program. They can use BrainHQ on any computer or handheld device.
Second, the people identified as BrainHQ administrators at your library will get a monthly email that provides utiliation reports, so you can track the usage of your patrons. Here are some resources to help you implement BrainHQ in your library.
Several libraries have issued local press releases to encourage patrons to access their free BrainHQ resource—a great way to reach patrons with updates on online offerings.
This template can provide a starting point.
To provide your patrons with a wealth of information on BrainHQ, download and print this trifold. Use the blank space on the back to include your library’s website information. (Fits labels 1 1/2 inches x 3 inches or smaller.) Then put copies at your checkout desk or wherever else your patrons find information about your materials.
For a useful giveaway, download and print bookmarks that give basic information about BrainHQ and provide a space for your library’s website information. (Fits labels 3 inches x 1 1/2 inches or smaller.) Put them at the checkout counter or insert them in books as patrons take them home.
An effective way to bring BrainHQ to the attention of your patrons is to post information about the program in your library. Most libraries print and display the below (11 inch x 17 inch) BrainHQ poster in multiple areas.
BrainHQ has fantastic resources for libraries serving adult communities that offer memory support kits. Our Brain Health Booklets, available in English, English (accessible), and Spanish (coming soon), are the perfect offline solution to support brain health.
Patrons who register for BrainHQ can participate in health-focused programming. Live monthly webinars explore current brain health topics and help patrons maximize the benefits of using BrainHQ. Learn more about webinars here.
Library patrons can also register for a ten-week, online, Brain Health class. Participating in a brain health class is the perfect way for patrons to meet other like-minded individuals and learn how to incorporate brain-healthy behaviors into their everyday lives. Learn more about BrainHQ Brain Health classes here.
While there are many books referencing the benefits of BrainHQ, libraries that offer it typically keep these two on the shelves.
