Stare at the object and observe whether it begins to shift and shimmer. By focusing on the outermost groove, your eyes will trace its path, making it appear as if it’s projecting outward along the wheel. This optical illusion, much like the classic spiral, is a well-known trick of the mind. The black center acts as a focal point, yet when you fix your gaze upon it, the wavy black-and-white lines seem to move unpredictably around it. As these lines shrink toward the center, they create a sense of depth and perspective, making it difficult for our brains to anchor them in place—resulting in the illusion of motion and shimmer.
